Nevada 90 Day Renewal Extension- COVID 19 Guidance
The Nevada Real Estate Division has issued temporary licensing guidance in Response to COVID-19. This authorizes Nevada licensees with renewals between March 15 and May 31 to have a 90 day extension. See official notification below:
The Nevada Real Estate Division is working to support and respond to the needs and concerns of our Real Estate community. The Division has been monitoring the situation in Nevada through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) and its page dedicated to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
In an abundance of caution, the Division is granting real estate licensees renewing between March 15 and May 31, 2020 a temporary 90-day extension to complete the live-instruction portion of their continuing education requirement. First-time licensees completing post-licensing education with upcoming renewals between March 15 and May 31, 2020 will also be allowed a 90-day extension.
Licensees are still required to renew their licenses by submitting a completed renewal form and paying renewal fees with the Division on or before their regular renewal date. At renewal, licensees will be provided an extension letter by the Division for the remaining education to be completed by live instruction. Licensees will be required to submit certificates of attendance for the remaining live-instruction education within the 90-day extension period.
We understand that this is an active and evolving situation and the Division will provide further guidance as necessary and appropriate. Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact the Division directly at (702) 486-4033.
For updates on COVID-19, please visit your local health authority’s website, the CDC, or the Nevada State Division of Public and Behavioral Health.

Do You Offer Real Estate Broker Licensing Courses?
ARTI Academics sole focus is on helping real estate agents be successful (here's an overview on the difference between a Broker and an Agent). We currently do not offer Real Estate Broker licensing courses. The reason is because there are relatively few Broker's in real estate compared with Agents. In fact, most people each day helping others buy and sell real estate are Real Estate Agents. That being said, we do offer continuing education courses which are available to agents and brokers alike, of course at no cost. Our real estate school courses are designed with you in mind and really tailored to help you succeed in the business. That's why you notice our course offerings so different from other real estate schools in the marketplace.
If you're looking to become a real estate agent, you have come to the right place. You can get started by Creating an Account.
Still Wondering If ARTI Academics is For Real?
Over and over again people ask if ARTI Academics is for real. Especially when other schools charge several hundreds of dollars or more. The answer is yes! Just recently, the leading real estate news source for real estate agents, brokers, real estate executives and real estate technology leaders, Inman featured ARTI Academics.
The article titled “Proptech Developers Launch Free Alternative Online Real Estate School“, written by Staff Writer and Technology Expert, Craig Rowe, states “Best of all: Classes offered by Arti Academics are free, and, in keeping with their theme of industry transparency, the classes are also free for the non-licensed public.”
When referring to creating high quality real estate school content, Rowe continued, “Dr. Amanda Wickra [was hired] as the school’s director of education. Wickra holds a doctor of education degree from Pepperdine’s Graduate school of Education and Psychology, where she was named one of the university’s “40 under 40” in 2016.” The article also made mention of a forthcoming mobile app, over 50 existing and proposed new courses, and other initiatives for ARTI Academics looking to the future.
We’re appreciative of all the many instructors, developers, and support staff who have helped make this school a success. Of course, we are also appreciative of all of the students who are currently enjoying real estate licensing and continuing education classes. We look forward to helping you grow your real estate career through education!

What Is The Real Estate MLS
One of the rarely discussed topics in Real Estate School is the Multiple Listing Service, or MLS. The MLS is software that Agents and Brokerages can participate in that encourages cooperation between real estate brokerages and outlines how fees will be shared. All other services the MLS provides are secondary to these. In short, when you represent a buyer in a real estate transaction that is listed by another member of the same MLS, there is an written arrangement you will get paid a commission of the amount specified in the listing documentation.
Other Considerations:
In some instances the MLS provides additional resources, such as data on past real estate transactions that can be used for comparative market analyses. It is also not uncommon for them to provide showing services, lockboxes, forms, listing syndication and other integrations. While offered as a service an agent is not required to use the products. Each MLS provides their own offerings as directed by the members.
Service Area:
The MLS is not actually a single entity nationwide, but each geographic region typically has their own. For example, Las Vegas, Nevada has their own MLS and in some instances, a real estate agent may participate and be a member in several, or none at all. Many real estate companies do not participate in an MLS at all, including commercial real estate brokerages and boutique shops.
Fees:
Being a member of a multiple listing service does have a cost. Depending on the area, you should expect the MLS itself to cost between $50 and $200 per month. In some markets, the MLS fees are incorporated into the local board of realtor fees.

5 Things You Should Know About Real Estate School
Deciding whether or not to start and complete real estate school can be a difficult question. Before you get started, there are some key things that you should be aware of as you begin your real estate journey.
- Real estate school is not easy. For some people, the content and information from a real estate pre-license course may seem simple and straightforward, but it's not that easy. Lots of key definitions and terminology must be added to your internal knowledge base before you will successfully pass the test. There are also many different real estate specific concepts and core areas of learning that need to be mastered for you to be successful. Some of the information will be specific to the state which you reside in. For example, what may be required for the State of Utah will be different than the requirements and rules for the State of Nevada.
- It will take 120 hours of class time to complete. Deciding to become a real estate agent is a commitment. Finishing real estate school is the first step. You will have to focus the equivalent of three 40 hour weeks studying and learning what it takes to help someone with what will likely be the largest transaction of their life. The stakes are high and it is important to know your stuff. Don't think that you will be able to shortcut the prep time and education.
- You should finish real estate school within 60 days for the highest level of success. Since your goal is to become a real estate professional, it is important to retain the knowledge you've gained from your education. This is achieved by completing real estate school within 60 days. When you finish school within that timeline, you're ready for the real estate license exam and as you move into your career you're relying on recent knowledge. If you started real estate school 8 or 9 months prior, it is difficult to remember everything because you haven't put it into practice.
- You can do it all online. Did you know that you can complete real estate school 100% online? That's right! While there may be a lot of coursework involved, the online schools in real estate have proven high levels of success. In fact, ARTI® Academics has the highest overall satisfaction rating of any school in the State of Utah from Google. In addition, ARTI® Academics consistently ranks at or near the top of the list when it comes to exam pass rates. Part of the success comes from each student having their own dedicated ARTI® Certified Instructor who they can reach out to for answers to questions related to curriculum or the career.
- There is a cost to get into the real estate business. Yes. A real estate agent is a business owner. You're in control of your own destiny. Real Estate School is 100% free at ARTI® Academics, but as you begin your career you will have to plan on investing in your business. This means being prepared to pay REALTOR® fees, MLS fees, and brokerage costs. These are typically small in comparison to what you will need to spend to market and grow your real estate business after you have your license. Outside of money, the largest cost you will experience is the time and energy needed to be successful. Most real estate agents don't make it past the first year or two. While real estate school gets you started, you still have to go and compete to win business. We recommend our ARTI® 5 Contact Rule for new agents in real estate. The ARTI® 5 Contact Rule is: Have 5 Real Estate Conversations Per Day. Put those people in to your Customer Relationship Manager. Follow Up Consistently.
