If you’re thinking of a career in Real Estate, getting a license in Utah consists of a few steps and it really isn’t that difficult as long as you have some time. In summary, here’s the quick steps:
    1) Take and graduate from a pre-licensing school (like ARTI Academics). It’s 120 hours. 2) After that, you must pass the state and federal portions of the real estate exam. 3) Pass background checks 4) Affiliate with a brokerage.

So I can do the pre-licensing certificate with Arti. How much is the Utah & Federal exams and background check?

Hi Connie! The cost is currently “$152 non-refundable fee ($100 application fee, $12 recovery fund fee and $40 fingerprint processing fee)” from the Real Estate Divisions website (linked above). Of course ARTI Academics Real Estate School is free to earn your 120 hours of required education classes to be eligible to apply for your Utah Real Estate License. Have fun taking your Real Estate Classes and thanks for reaching out!

You can select ‘real estate’ and simply put ‘pre-licensing’.

I tried to start the pre licensing course for Utah real estate and it asks at the beginning for a license type and number. What am I supposed to put here as I’m trying to do the pre licensing and don’t have a license.

In regarding with the affiliation, do I have to affiliate with a brokerage to get my license?, or is that a requirement ARTI is giving free courses?. Thank you

Hi Ariadna, the State of Utah requires that you affiliate with a real estate brokerage after receiving your real estate license. ARTI Academics is 100% free and does not require you to work with any company in particular. ARTI Academics does provide recommendations based on your market area.
